It’s no longer enough to just have the top-level Equipment pieces. Equipment Set Leveling, Set Bonuses, Persistent Set Bonuses, and Equipment Enhancement have come to World War Rising and bring with them more powerful ways to strengthen your Equipment through the Weapons Lab.

What’s the Weapons Lab?

The Weapons Lab to the left of your Command Center. Within the Lab, you will see several options.

  • Persistent Set Bonus
  • Upgrade Equipment Quality
  • Equipment Set Leveling
  • Equipment Enhancement (available starting at Level 12)
  • Enhancement Research (available starting at Level 12)
  • Enhancement Materials (available starting at Level 12)

The maximum level for the Weapons Lab is 15, and the costs for leveling the Weapons Lab are as follows:

Upgrading Equipment Quality

This allows you to upgrade lower grade Equipment pieces while only having 3 of each of the necessary materials. It additionally requires Weapons Lab Isotopes. The level you can upgrade is dependent on the Weapons Lab’s level. For example, if you want to upgrade to Level 5 (purple), you must have a Level 5 Weapons Lab.

What is Equipment Set Leveling?

Equipment Set Leveling adds additional stats to your existing gear/Equipment. What the stats/boosts are varied with each eligible Equipment Set. Each individual level of Set Leveling gives an additional boost (1-50).

Set Leveling is different than Set Bonus, don’t get those confused. Enter the Weapons Lab, and you will see three tabs. The Weapons Lab is also where you will see your Set Gear Bonuses and can Upgrade your Equipment if it’s less than Legendary. The last tab is what you want for our purposes today; “Equipment Set Leveling”.

Once you’ve entered the Equipment Set Leveling tab you’ll need two items for each Equipment Set; Equipment Set Leveling Tokens (specific to the Set), and Equipment Set XP (non-specific). You can correlate these to Hero Medals and Hero XP.  Simply click on the Equipment Set you want to level and start clicking away. The current maximum level is 50.

gear gear

You must have all Legendary Equipment to use Set Leveling, and the boosts are only active when you have that Equipment Set equipped. The level of the Equipment Set Leveling will show next to the Equipment Set as so:

Set Bonuses

What is a “Regular” Set Bonus?

A Set Bonus is an additional bonus applicable to a full set of Gear. There is a Set Bonus for 5 piece and a higher Full Set Bonus for 7 pieces. Note that your gear pieces must be legendary at this point for the Set Bonus to apply, and it must be equipped.

Set Bonus Research

Before you can take advantage of the Set Bonus you must do the research. This research is under the “Set Bonus” tab in the Research Facility. The higher your research, the bigger bonus you receive. There are individual researches for each category of gear (Armor, Helm, Accessory, etc).

These researches require Set Bonus Research Dossiers and T2 RSS, and a minimum of Base Research Facility Level 20. Note that these researches have high T2 RSS requirements, so it will behoove you to not start this tree until you have the full sets that will benefit from it.

This tree also has research for allowing constant training of Rally and P51 Mustang Mercenary Troops.

Where Can I see my Set Bonus?

Going into the Armory, click on your inventory and then the green jacket/helmet in the upper right-hand corner. This will show you which sets you currently have (or are working on), that benefit from the Set Bonus. It will show green if you have the items needed for the Set Bonus. The items you still need will be grayed out. Note if you do not have ANY items yet from one of the sets that benefits from Set Bonus you won’t be able to see it on this screen.

Persistent Set Bonuses

Unlike the Set Bonuses above, Persistent Set Bonuses apply whether you are wearing the gear or not, and require all 7 pieces of the applicable Set to be crafted. These Bonuses require the following Weapons Lab levels;

  • Level 1 Equipment Bonus: Level 6 Weapons Lab
  • Level 2 Equipment Bonus: Level 7 Weapons Lab
  • Level 3 Equipment Bonus: Level 8 Weapons Lab
  • Level 4 Equipment Bonus: Level 9 Weapons Lab
  • Level 5 Equipment Bonus: Level 10 Weapons Lab
  • Level 6 Equipment Bonus: Level 11 Weapons Lab

Note you only get the Set Bonus for the lesser of

  • Your lowest Weapons Lab Level
  • Your lowest quality Equipment piece in the set

For example, if your equipment is all yellow, but your Weapons Lab is only Level 9, you’ll get the bonuses for Level 9 as shown below.

Persistent Set Bonus Boosts

The following chart gives examples of the number of boosts from each level, for each Equipment Set that currently has a bonus. Alternatively, you can also click on “Weapons Lab”/”Set Gear Bonuses and see for yourself.

Equipment Enhancement

The newest section in the Weapons Lab comes in the form of Equipment Enhancement. It is available starting at Level 12.  The boosts from Enhancing your Equipment are temporary (much like Banners and Contraband). You must do the research for this in the Weapons Lab, which requires Nitro Enhancement Kits, RSS, and Speed Ups. Nitro Kits are also required to activate an Enhancement.

Maxing the Enhancement Research requires the following:

  • 878,350,000 T7 Energy
  • 527,010,000 T7 Stone
  • 790,515,000 T7 Wood
  • 299,528,500 T7 Iron
  • 1,756,700 Nitro Enhancement Kits

To Enhance an Equipment piece, click on the “Equipment Enhancement” section of the Lab. Choose your Equipment Piece and your Enhancement. Note that you cannot Enhance an Equipment piece with whatever boost you want. They are specific and tied to particular Equipment pieces. (no stacking!) .

At level 30 the duration of each is one (1) day, and enhancing Equipment requires Nitro Kits as well.  Note that you may begin using Enhancements at Level 12, but the boosts and duration won’t be as high as they are once they are maxed. At maximum research/Level 30, the boosts are;

  • Retaliation(Weapon): 80,000% Base Defending Troop Attack
  • Aggression (Weapon): 80,000% Base Attacking Troop Attack
  • Reconnaissance (Helm): 40,000% Base Defending Troop Health
  • Jarhead (Helm): 40,000% Base Attacking Troop Health
  • Bulletproof (Armor): 120,000% Base Defending Troop Armor

New Enhancements 11/9/2020
