For the month of November, we sat down with (Y0I0) BadTexan to discuss his account in World War Rising, along with his advice for players and his feelings about the current state of the game.
ChrisHero100 Interview with BadTexan
WWR Command: What is your background in gaming?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “My history in mobile gaming started when I’d ride my bike to the convenience store, and play Pac-man Defender, Galiga, and Joustt… ???????? But seriously I’ve been a gamer longer than the term… I was previously playing Golf Clash and Words w/ Friends.????♂️”
WWR Command: What brought you to World War Rising?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “Actually, what brought me to WWR was the interactive ad. I was getting some free tokens to upgrade my clubs. After I don’t know how many times of watching the ad I figured out it was interactive, so I decided to give it a try since it was a “free” download.”
WWR Command: I see you are Command Center 80! What tips would you give players pushing to that level?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “CC80 was a push. I’d recommend having patience. The RSS required are quite cost prohibitive, but we all know that they will be easier to come by soon enough, pace yourself.”
WWR Command: You are also part of the Leadership of an Alliance. Tell us a little bit about your Alliance.
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “Well actually I’m not the leader of YOLO, but I joke that I’m an R4 and a half. We actually have a leadership team that is quite a tight-knit group, and most decisions are made by vote. Yolo likes to have fun, we really enjoy the game and burning.”
WWR Command: In your opinion, what do you believe makes a good Alliance?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “In my opinion, a good alliance like any good team is built around trust and helping others as we can. When I was pushing for CC80, I was amazed at how my teammates would use platinum they earned in events to purchase RSS and send to me. I try to return that how I can with giftables as people need them, etc.”
WWR Command: Any tips for players in newer Regions?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “Tips for players in newer regions would be to reach out and ask questions. Just during the ACP event, I had a player from another region email me and ask me a question about defense. They are now in the WWR Command LINE group. As a rally lead, I really don’t know much about trapping so I referred them to you. Much like in RL I’m learning every day.”
WWR Command: What is something you like about the game?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “The thing I like the most about the game is the “meeting ” people and making friends, that’s what I like. I have friends now across the planet, some of whom I chat quite regularly. On that note a shoutout to those in Australia who are living with terrible wildfires. Stay safe!!”
WWR Command: What is something you’d like to see fixed?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “The main thing I guess I’d like to see changed is the customer service. I get aggravated when asked to send ss about something, that until a glitch happened I didn’t know I needed to screenshot. An example was “the rally glitch”, and if I could somehow get rid of stuff I’m never going to use again so I don’t have to scroll past it that would be great.”
WWR Command: Is there anything else you would like to tell the community?
(Y0I0) BadTexan: “I really would just like to tell the community; Have Fun!!! It is a game. I think it’s cool when people help people and teach them. I came to YOLO because I tile hit SableDog (before I knew what that even meant) and she kicked my ass, then brought me in and taught me a lot. TeetsMageets, Death069, Minimol, and Moto have taught me along the way. Guys like Wang, Tripnfel, Dmax, Mayhem, and Superman have all been helpful. So ask questions so that you can become a better target…????????????”
Thank you for the discussion BadTexan! We look forward to seeing you on the field! Do you have a player to nominate for our monthly Player Profile? Let us know in the questions below!
