Defense Research is back!  That’s right Generals, the fourth Defense type Research is here! Achieve the ability to build t11 Wall Defenses and boost other stats with this exciting new research tree.

In this article, we will look at what Lv 130 Defense Research is, the requirements to study, and the stats and benefits that you will be able to make your Command Center stronger than ever before!  Let’s talk Lv 130 Defense Research!

The Fourth Defense Research is Here!
The Fourth Defense Research is Here!

What is Lv 130 Defense Research?

Defense Research Trees primarily focus on Wall Defenses.  What are Wall Defenses, you ask?  Wall Defenses, as stated in our article, Deadly Defenses (Eriu, 2021), “are the fortifications or barriers against attacks that can be boosted to assist in your Defensive Technique”. Located within your Wall Building inside your Command Center, defenses can be an extremely important part of an overall Defensive Strategy.

Please note that “in World War Rising, DEFENSE and DEFENSES are two different things.  While Defenses can help your overall Defensive Strategy, you must pay careful attention to the terminology used when looking at research, skills, emblems, or anything else that may be there to help strengthen your Wall Defenses but will not work for Defense in other areas.”

Deadly Defenses (Eriu, 2021)

As such, Lv 130 Defense Research introduces Tier 11 Wall Defenses! Additionally, we see an increase in stats such as Troop Armor, Control Point based stats, and Anti-Squad Debuffs!

Located in your Research Facility between Battle Mark Grandmaster Research and Escapade Researches, you can begin to make your wall defenses stronger today!

One thing to note is that all Defense Research trees benefit not only Defensive Battles, but many of the stats boost your attack stats as well!  Stats such as Troop Attack are used for both Defense and Offense.  In addition, if you are a Control Point Lead, this defense is crucial to continue to boost your CP stats.

Lv 130 Defense Research Requirements

As with previous research trees that have been introduced, Lv 130 Defense Research requires t6 Defense Research Dossiers specific to only this research tree.

You must be at Command Center level 101 to begin this research.

There have been other Defense Dossiers for other Defense Research Trees, so be sure you stock up on t6 Defense Dossiers for this one.

How to Make These Benefits Work for You

As with any Research, be sure to focus on research that benefits you the most, first.  If you are a smaller Command Center, it would be unlikely that you would benefit from the CP stats.  While this tree has you follow down one node at a time, for the most part, keep this in mind when you have a choice.

New Tiers for Traps, Land Mines, and Turrets have arrived!
New Tiers for Traps, Land Mines, and Turrets have arrived!

The three basic (or Regular) Wall Defenses get a boost with a new level!  While Power levels remain the same as other Wall Defenses from t7-t10,  Attack, Defense, and Health get a boost by one from Level 10 Defenses.  Each Wall Defense tier has an Attack, Defense, and Health Stat equal to its level.

Defense Tips:

  • Check your Research Trees- Be sure to Boost Wall Defense Stats in other trees as well.
  • Use a Hero that Boosts Wall Defenses- Heroes such as Eli have skill nodes that make walls even stronger.
  • Use Emblems to Boost Wall Defenses when Appropriate- Early on emblems such as Heroic Emblems help with Defenses Attack. Keep in mind these early emblems are not much assistance in older timelines.
  • Use Boosts- Use strategies such as activating Morse Counter Tactics to help boost your walls to even greater numbers.

Walls are extremely effective against several attacks, including mercenary attacks that include Masquerat Troops.  As stated in the original blogs and Mercenary help section of the game, Masquerat Troops are weak to Wall Defenses.  This has been proven repeatedly by players.  Test for yourself!

Pro Tip- If you are a lower spender, be sure to research the stats that benefit you the most first.  This is true for any tree.  Some will let you skip around a bit easier than others.  Always work your game to your best benefit!
