Hero Research, Level 140 has hit our shores to assist Generals, making heroes stronger than ever before! Get benefits attacking Syndicates, Enemy Bases, Syndicate Outposts, the Control Point, and any other time you may use your hero.  The boosts go up to an incredible 175,000% troop attack with the hero as one of the many new features you can employ to your advantage!

In this article, we will look at what Level 140 Hero Research is all about, what requirements there are to obtain these astounding stats, and most importantly, how to best use them to your advantage.

Level 140 Hero Research is Now Available!
Level 140 Hero Research is Now Available!

What is Level 140 Hero Research?

Level 140 Hero Research is a Research Tree centered around benefits involving your hero.  It includes everything from Hero Attack to Enemy Health Reduction with Hero. It is important to note in order to fully benefit from the stats earned in this tree, your HERO MUST BE PRESENT.

There are a few skills in the tree, Troop Training Speed, Troop Training Capacity, and Troop Healing Speed that do not state hero is required, however, not using hero for these activities doesn’t make much sense (the cost reduction is massive when using the correct hero to grow your army), so it is implied they will be present during those times as well.

Research Requirements

As with previous research trees that have been introduced, Level 140 Hero Research requires Hero Research Dossiers (t4), specific to only this research tree.

The new Hero Research is currently the third Research listed in your Research Facility. To begin, click on the Research Facility inside of your Command Center, and click on Lv 140 Hero to open up the ability to improve your Hero stats.

When you open up the first Research at the top of the Hero Research Tree, you will also see that in addition to the t4 Hero Dossiers you will need, you must be Command Center level 111.

In addition, be sure to keep an eye out for the dossiers in packs and events to level up more quickly.  Remember, in order to even start the research, the dossiers are necessary.

How to Make These Benefits Work for You

The most important thing about the stats you will achieve in this tree is to note, once again, that your HERO MUST BE PRESENT in order to benefit from each node once you have begun to complete them.

I’m personally really excited it’s another tree that contains Debuffs! As a defender, the MAJORITY of the time, my hero will be involved in whatever battles my Command Center will be taking part in.  This does vary based on where in the game your timeline is.  In the past, it was not uncommon for me to send my hero out as part of a baiting technique.  In order to try and be attacked by larger players without major consequence, I would try to make myself appear weaker in any way I could. Then, if the hero was not back in time, it was not that big of a deal. Currently, no hero can make a much bigger difference in the outcome.

If you have the ability to safely be without your hero and be attacked without much worry, don’t forget (again) that you will not be able to utilize stats that will benefit your hero and your overall strategy in general if he or she is not present during, and in the location of, the occurring battle.

All Stats Obtained in this Tree are Exclusively Paired with Your Hero

Finally, don’t forget to complete the research most important to how you operate your account first while Dossiers are still more scarce.  If your hero is maxed, putting effort towards XP increases before you finish Attack Deflection (with hero) doesn’t make you any stronger or assist your growth in any way.

Pro Tip- If you are a lower spender, be sure to research the stats that benefit you the most first.  This is true for any tree.  Some will let you skip around a bit easier than others.  Always work your game to prioritize for your best benefit!
