A military aviator would be recognized as a Flying Ace, Fighter Ace, or Air Ace for shooting down five or more enemy aircraft during airborne combat. During World War, It was a propaganda term designed to provide the home front with a hero’s cult in what was otherwise a war of attrition. Ace’s image was portrayed similarly to a brave cavalier of the Bygone Era.

The Flying Ace Equipment Set is designed to lower your Troops’ cost while also expanding your Mercenary Upgrade Capacity.

In this guide, we will cover:

  • Flying Aces Equipment pieces
  • How does it compare to the Delta Commander Equipment Set?
  • Flying Aces upgrading cost
  • What to read next and the latest updates at WWR Command

Firstly, let’s break down the Flying Aces Equipment pieces!

Flying Aces Equipment Pieces

(March 2021)

The Flying Aces Equipment set is destined to:

Persistent Set Bonus

In the Weapons Lab, you will see a Persistent Set Bonuses section (1st tab). A Persistent Set Bonus is activated as soon as you acquire each of the Equipment Pieces in the Set required. The bonus will be confined by the lowest level piece you own. So if you have one Epic piece and the rest are Uncommon, you will get the Uncommon Set Bonus.

Keep in mind that you do not have to wear the Gear for the bonus to be active, as it is passive.

Flying Aces Persistent Set Bonus:

  • 40,000% Troop Attack
  • 60,000% Troop Armor
  • 25,000% Troop Health

Set 5 and 7 Bonus

Collect and wear all the pieces at level 6 to acquire set bonuses.

Set 5 bonus:

  • 15,000% Troop Attack
  • 10,000% Troop Health
  • 20,000% Troop Armor

Set 7 bonus:

  • 25,000% Troop Attack
  • 15,000% Troop Health
  • 40,000% Troop Armor

The Set 7 Bonus will apply additionally to the Set 5 Bonus.

Upgrading Chart

In the Weapons Lab, you can upgrade your Equipment Quality. Typically you would also be able to increase Set Leveling, but this particular Gear does not have any.

To upgrade your Flying Ace Equipment Set, you will need materials from the Flying Ace Set Materials Crate and Weapons Lab Isotope 233. These material crates can be found in events and the Gold Store.

Flying Aces Equipment Materials

Flying Aces Materials

Each of the Flying Ace Equipment pieces requires specific materials per level to reach the Legendary level.

Helm Comms (Helmet)

  • Aero Fabrics
  • Extension Hook
  • Jet Patch
  • U-Protector

Attire (Armor)

  • Aero Fabrics
  • SMG Muzzle
  • U-Protector (2)

Blaster (Weapon)

  • Blaster Grip
  • Extension Hook
  • SMG Muzzle
  • U-Protector

SMG-Aero (2nd Weapon)

  • Aero Fabrics
  • Blaster Grip (2)
  • Jet Patch

Permitting Paddle (Accessory*)

  • Aero Fabrics
  • Blaster Grip
  • Jet Patch
  • SMG Muzzle

*Permitting Paddle Material requirements is based on ONE Accessory; you will need 3xs the amount PER level for all three.

Do NOT upgrade the materials to level 6 as you need level 5 to complete the Legendary Set.

For example, to level your SMG-Aero from Rare to Super Rare, you will need:

  • 1,600 Weapon Lab Isotope 233
  • Level 3 Aero Fabrics, Jet Patch, in addition to Blaster Grip x2

Next, check out the chart below to see how much Weapons Lab Isotope 233 you need to level your Equipment from Basic to Legendary.

Upgrading Chart

Upgrading Cost

How does it Compare?

Last but not least, is this Equipment Set worth the time and effort to build up? How does it amount to the other Troop Training-related Equipment Sets? We will use the previous Delta Commander’s Equipment Set to compare before examining the differences between the two, specifically the Body Armor and the primary Weapon at Legendary.

Delta Commander’s Plate Carrier vs. Flying Ace’s Attire

Delta Commander Plate Carrier

  • 30% Troop Training Speed
  • 20% Level 9 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 15% Level 10 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 10% Level 9 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 20% Level 10 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 10% Upkeep Efficiency (T7)
  • 20,000 Mercenary Troop Upgrade Capacity

Flying Ace Attire

  • 45% Troop Training Speed
  • 40% Level 11 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 30% Level 11 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 25% Level 10 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 15% Level 10 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 20% Upkeep Efficiency (T7) – Food
  • 30,000 Mercenary Troop Upgrade Capacity

When it comes to these two pieces, we can establish that the Attire has an additional:

  • +5% Level 10 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • +15% Troop Training Speed
  • +10% Upkeep Efficiency (T7) – Food
  • +10,000 Mercenary Troop Upgrade Capacity

Along with Training Time and Resources Cost Efficiency towards Level 11 Troops.

Delta Commander’s Handgun vs. Flying Ace’s SMG-Aero

Delta Commander Handgun

  • 20% Level 8 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 10% Level 9 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 20% Level 10 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 5% Level 8 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 10% Level 9 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 10% Upkeep Efficiency (T7) – Food
  • 25,000 Mercenary Upgrade Capacity

Flying Ace SMG-Aero – Weapon

  • 30% Level 11 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 20% Level 10 Troop Training Resource Cost Efficiency
  • 25% Level 10 Troop Training Time Cost Efficiency
  • 20% Upkeep Efficiency (T7) – Food
  • 40% Upkeep Efficiency (T6) – Food
  • 35,000 Mercenary Troop Upgrade Capacity

It is pretty clear that the Handgun gears more towards lower leveled Troops versus the SMG-Aero assisting the higher leveled ones.

SMG-Aero also contains an additional 10,000 Mercenary Upgrade Capacity and an extra 30% Upkeep Efficiency for T7 while also providing upkeep for T6.
