As a cub, Wojtek was a bear bought at a railway station in Iran by Polish II Corps soldiers evacuated from the Soviet Union. To provide for his rations and transportation, he was enlisted as a soldier with a private ranking and eventually was promoted to corporal.

He then went with the Corps to Italy and served with the 22nd Artillery Supply Company. During the Battle of Monte Cassino, Wojtek assisted the soldiers by moving crates of ammunition. After the war, he lived out the rest of his life at the Edinburgh Zoo.

In World War Rising, Wojtek joins us in the ranks and marches with us side by side!

In this guide, we will cover:

  • The Bestiary building and its purpose
  • How to read the Beast page
  • Beasts, along with their skills and requirements

Firstly, let’s go over the Bestiary building and the objectives it serves.

The Bestiary Building

Bestiary

(May 26th, 2021)

The Bestiary building is where your Beasts are located, similar to Squad Command for your Squad Members. It is located next to the Trading Post.

In the Bestiary, you can:

  • Level up your Beasts
  • Switch and activate Beasts
  • Heal your Beast when it gets injured attacking or defending your Base.
  • Skill your Beast

The Bestiary at level one enables you to send a Beast into your Deployment. Aside from that, there are no other benefits from the building itself.

Upon the Bestiary release, the Private Wojtek and Wojtek Junior were released.

The two Beasts in the Bestiary can be sent alongside your Squad Members. However, only ONE Beast can be used in battle.  When defending, your Beast must be at home and activated to protect your Base.

The Beasts also take damage in battle, similar to Squad Members, requiring a cooldown period or healed instantly using their corresponding Med Kits.

For example, a Private Wojtek would use the Private Wojtek Med Kit, as the Wojtek Junior would use the Wojtek Junior Med Kit.

How to read the Beast Screen

You can view the Beast you’re currently using (if activated) in the Bestiary.

Select Beast

To select a Beast, click on the purple “select beast” button to recruit the Beast you’d like to use.

At the bottom of the Beast screen, you will see a tab for building, beast, and skills.

Tabs

Building Tab

The building tab enables you to see the current level the Bestiary is and the boosts you’re acquiring from the Beast you’re currently using.

It displays the Beast Boosts; however, when it comes to the “Normal Troop” stats, they are listed in the Troop Boosts through your Profile Boost page instead.

Beast Tab

Once you have summoned the Beast you’d like to use, you then can view its stat rating and level it up, again similar to your Squads.

The green bar located at the top displays how much Health your Beast has; when it depletes, you can either allow it to regenerate Health on its own or select the Heal button, which requires Med Kits that is typical to your corresponding Beast as mentioned above.

Skill Tab

The Skill tab allows you to skill your beast to obtain the perks the bear provides. There are three types of skills you can allocate your points into depending on the direction you’d like to take—Defense, Attack, and Utility.

Next, let’s break their skills down to see how they assist us in battle!

Private Wojtek

Beast

(May 26th, 2021)

The Private Wojtek can be upgraded to level 50 and then be promoted to Corporal Wojtek. When advancing the Beast to Corporal Wojtek, the bear will gain even more bonuses at level 50.

You will need 20,000 Private Wojtek Unlocks to summon the Private Wojtek, so it is very plausible that you can acquire it as a F2P or low spender if you’re patient enough to wait!

Bomber Bats

Bat Bomb

(October 12th, 2021)

Bat Bombs were an experimental weapon in World War II. The Bat Bomb consisted of a bomb-like casing enclosing a hibernating free-tailed bat with a clocked incendiary bomb attached.

The Bomb would be dropped around down, and the casings would deploy a parachute mid-flight and release the bats. The bats themselves would scatter around and get into inaccessible places. The bombs were set on timers and would then ignite and start mass fires.

In World War Rising, scientists and engineers merge animal and military technology to unleash even more damages on your opponents.

There are two new Beasts, the Bomber Bat and Bomber Bat Junior. They will require Bomber Bat Med Kits of their respective names to heal instantly after a battle like Squad Members do. For example, the Bomber Bat Junior will require a Bomber Bat Junior Med Kit to recover.

Bomber Bat

The Bomber Bats specializes in Base and Control Point Attack and Defense, primarily focusing on Raider Troops. The Bomber Bat can be upgraded to level 50.
