Welcome to the 12th Edition of Alpha Commanders
Antifuse, more commonly known as Anti in the game by many players, has come back for his second win at ACP. Our newest Alpha Commander to hold the title also took the honor of winning the second Alpha Control Point ever held in the past, just over a year ago.
The coveted title of Alpha Commander is a point of respect and the highest pinnacle to be achieved in World War Rising.
Welcome to the 12th edition of Alpha Commanders!
Antifuse Comes Out on Top Once More!
Meeting Anti and his team was a fantastic experience. When he won his first ACP title, it was before the Alpha Commander Series was started, so I was especially excited to speak with TMK about their win.
Anti begins the interview by telling me a little bit about his past experiences in MZ gaming. He began playing Mobile Strike, a similar game also created by MZ, several years ago. He won an impressive 11 GCP titles in Mobile Strike (similar to the Alpha Commander title here in WWR). Earning 6 titles from the Mech side and 5 from the Cyber side of the game, Anitfuse brought several from his team to this game to rule supreme here as well!
“I feel like what makes us different compared to other teams is the amount of time we have been playing together and the friendships we formed over the years.” – TMK THE PRO (TMK)
No stranger to Anti and his team, these types of games are where they excel. He tells me how he prefers the Control Point, and especially Alpha Control Point battles over every aspect of the game.
“I’m not a fan of rallies or burning bases. I don’t like picking on smaller players. I play these games for these big events.” -Antifuse (TMK)
The time had come for Anti and his crew to earn another title.
Prep Time
Preparing for this ACP Event began for TMK roughly 3 or 4 months ago, Anti tells me. The team likes to take a look at how things are going and watch for trends over time in order to prepare to the best of their ability.
“We look at what tier, what types of troops, and other things that other players are using,” Anti says. “We were so strong because of the careful observations we made over time and concluded if we had certain levels of troops, no one would be able to beat us.”
Clutch_MF, one of Anti’s long-term partners in crime speaks up and tells me, “We as a team had to skip several events so that we could promote enough troops.” He also says, “ A lot of money was put into the team in order to be able to compete at the levels needed.
Gerinomo jr speaks up as well, “the key is to play smart.” For example, keeping Antifuse and his team shielded while preparing was crucial. In order to keep their troops confidential, the team had to avoid being scouted or allowing missiles to be sent so that enemy teams would be aware of troop counts. “It was important to keep things secret and to know who you could trust while preparing as well. We really had to up alliance security,” he adds.
TMK THE PRO adds, “We prepped very hard. We had everyone ready and everyone that was called to the task was ready.”
They tell me about their method to prepare the correct troops and be sure to keep things in order. I promised I wouldn’t share ALL the juicy details, but their efficiency in arranging troops was unprecedented thus far. Being someone who likes organization, I was very impressed.
Clutch also adds, “We had many bases that sent Anti the rss he would need to build the necessary troops.” Gifts and many other ways to support their rally lead was something TMK was happy to do.
“As they say, teamwork makes the dream work,” – Gerinomo(TMK)
It’s Time
As we narrowed down the retelling of the tale to the actual event, Clutch tells me about some of the challenges he knew the team would face at the beginning of the event.
“One of the most important things is to land in the right spot. The game was glitching badly and with all of the blue glowing bases porting in, it was difficult to see what was occurring at first,” Clutch remarks while reminiscing about the start.
The team had already been on a Line call for an hour before the event started to take care of any last-minute prep and make sure they were fully prepared. The team watched anxiously as Anti ported in and sent his march.
“It was very intense,” Gerinomo tells me. “Glitching was a major issue. I think it may be time for a server upgrade.”
The team held their breath as Anti’s march speed towards the ACP. Some in the team commented they couldn’t even see the march at all.
Antifuse made it into ACP! His team quickly followed preplanned troop arrangements from each team member participating and quickly settled in to defend the rest of the night.
Important Things to Consider
While TMK held vigilant in ACP, Anti and his team quickly reviewed his situation.
Anti says, “we had a strong defense and a strong attack prepared. Although we did not use the attack, we knew exactly what would be needed for offense as well as defense.”
Clutch then adds, “We were definitely prepared. We were using higher tier mercenaries with the right formulas we had tested. We were totally prepared for both.”
The team tells me of a few important things they take into consideration during the event.
“Capacity size, tier level of troops, and which mercs to use are all extremely important, “ Anti tells me. “You start off by going in with a solo that can defend any incoming solo in order to be able to get organized.” The better the solo to defend, the more time the team has to get organized. It’s important to make sure to have a balance of attack to bounce troops and the defense to hold at the same time. The first march can be the key.
“Speed is also extremely important,” Anti adds, “you have to have fast fingers. I’m well known for my fast fingers,’ he laughs.
“We had the mug, they had the glasses.” –Antifuse (TMK)
The Event Continues
The team tells me they had to consistently train t10 during the event. Anti was continuously purchasing packs and building during the entire time the team held ACP, a true testament to the dedication TMK had to come home with the win.
Clutch tells me about the amazing teams TMK went up against throughout the night. He tells me about the great sportsmanship from the majority of the teams they faced, making the win that much more valuable.
“Some teams did not do as well. OG sent a very heavy rally that was unable to succeed. Capacity is very important along with the right ratio being key,” Clutch says.
Anti speaks up, “Marco and his team succeeded the best. He did not seem to make as many mistakes as some of the other teams. He just didn’t have the capacity he needed to get the troops right.” The mix was there, it just wasn’t quite enough Anti theorizes.
They tell me that Marco (@war), C R I S S (Rebl), and Artz81 (Sefi) were the biggest competition. The team has nothing but respect for these players, they tell me, showing what excellent sports they are themselves.
“Everyone did very well giving it a shot. At least many tried and tested strengths,” Anti says.
After the required hold time, the team vacated ACP and either slept or enjoyed the rest of the event.
Winding Down
I appreciated the light-hearted, enjoyable environment this team showed me while we discussed their ACP experience. The amazing time they had is evident in the laughter and good-natured chit chat back and forth while they told me all the juicy details about what occurred. I absolutely appreciated being made to feel so welcome for this discussion.
Anti and his team hope to try for many more ACP titles in the future as well. It’s clear this is not the last time we will hear from The Murderous Killers!
Congratulations once more to Antifuse and TMK for their second ACP win! We here at WWR Command salute you!
