Our Guide to Help You Make Informed Decisions on Packs, How to Acquire Cheaper Packs, If There Are Free Packs, and Why You Shouldn’t Use Pack Loading.
What are Packs?
Packs are in-game purchases that can assist a player in their progression of growth, power, and strength, containing items that range from gear to resources.
Packs are purchased with real money taken directly from your bank account or other means that you have set up with your provider.
In WWR the first Pack Purchase is roughly $4.99. They increase to $19.99, $49.99, $74.99, and cap at $99.99. These prices are based on the United States and may vary slightly depending on the country and exchange rate at the time.
Where do I purchase Packs?
Packs can be purchased in-game. Each time you log on to World War Rising, the current special will flash on your screen. You can either purchase this pack or close the offer to view other offers in the gold store.
Once you have decided which pack you would like to purchase, you simply click on BUY! You will be prompted to verify that you would like to purchase the pack. When you click yes, your items will be populated into your account.
It is a good idea to check to verify that all items offered in the pack purchase were received at this time.
What should I look for in Packs?
There are basic packs that are just good in general.
Sometimes, they aren’t.
Typically Players will look to optimize purchases. In other words, try to get as much as they can for spending as little as possible.
The following are a few ways this can be done in WWR:
-Look for flash packs. If you purchase packs with tokens, you can max Flashevents for added goodies.
-Coordinate Buying with Flash Events even when not purchasing Flash Packs
-Buy holiday packs. These are often filled with extra goodies not often present in standard packs.
-Consider purchasing packs the SAME DAY a new item comes out. These Release Packs often carry more of the newly released item than typical subsequent packs with the same item.
-Purchase packs while The Traveling Merchant is Open. This will give you items based on what you purchased directly from the Merchant. The more you buy, the more the Merchant will award you. (best bet is during BOGO offers, see below)
-BOGO (Buy One, Get One) Packs are AMAZING! These fantastic Packs are often discounted from $100 for the first pack and then the next pack is half price. As mentioned above, you can get an incredible amount of items during these sales, especially when coordinated with the Traveling Merchant.
Never buy the packs at the bottom of the list of pack options with just gold for sale.
You can often get an idea of the quality of packs if you are unsure by listening to the community and their thoughts on current packs. Be sure to speak with people that have a similar playing style. Not everyone would require the same items at the same rate, therefore pack needs may differ.
The most important thing to consider, aside from the best deals when purchasing packs, is to take inventory of your account and be aware of what you need to improve upon and purchase packs with those items accordingly.
Player Pack Buying- What the Pros Look For
I asked the best and brightest of World War Rising to give their opinion on what they feel is important to consider when buying packs (or Sales Packs, as referred to in the game itself). From Rally Leads to Traps, the response was overwhelming. Here are just a few of their suggestions when asked what specifically they look for in a pack to purchase:
“Packs suck when you are at the top of the curve…. half the stuff no longer applies…. usually its RSS (Resources) or arch (architecture) plans… lifetime boosts a plus… ????♂️”
–badtexan [Y0l0] Region 311, Chromium District
“From a newb like me: I look for a balanced combination of multiple items to maintain average growth in the region while accumulating specific items by buying multiple packs to win flash events to gain competitive advantage.
A competitive advantage for our base, a strong offense base, is more mercenary troops and gear, so we always look for specific mercenary tokens & required gear crates.”
–xXx MASVxDeX xXx [PoPT] Region 277, Coal District
“I think all the packs work on a s-curve of benefits so I look to estimate where that pack is on the s-curve and when I can buy it cheaper than the very biggest spenders but still enjoy the most benefit vs other bases and stay in a good spot to be a rally leader or hold a CP (Control Point) when it’s not ACP (Alpha Control Point).”
–TopCherry [Flaw] Region 305, Juliet
“I look for a variety of items such as XP, medals, rations (especially rations), merc tokens, upper-level RSS, complete gear, tokens, and boosts.”
–grimya [FuRY] Region 217, Sadalmelik
“The first thing I look for is lifetime boosts. Then I look at everything in the pack and evaluate how easily each item can be gained from doing events now or in the future. I don’t want to buy something that will be dropped for free from a raid boss event in 2 days.
I always keep a checklist of the items I need in my base, these building plans or those research dossiers. I prioritize the list then look at each pack and when I find a pack that offers several of the items I need, I will buy it. I rarely buy packs, but I’ve found if you are willing to be patient, you eventually find packs that have pretty much all you need at that moment.”
–DeDeJayne [UAO] Region 313, Copper Bastion
“As a low-level trap only buying once a month I find the most important part of the game is choosing each pack, everything else is secondary.
I usually make a shopping list over the month but it depends what’s been released defensively at the time. Ideally, it will have to have up to date gear, squad, research dossier, mercs, master intel, vehicle hangar, vehicle XP/tokens, banners. Bogo is usually best, holiday and RVR packs are good too.
If you combine it with the flash event, crate unlock or the traveling merchant you’re #winning”

Are There Free Packs in World War Rising?
The short answer is no.
We all know the duck.
As much as we would love the opportunity to receive free packs, Machine Zone is ultimately a business. Businesses do not succeed by giving things away for free.
There are ways to get discounted packs and we here at WWR Command often have giveaways with gift cards as prizes that can be used towards in-game purchases.
Be sure to check in often for your chance to win gift cards!
Is There A Way to Get Cheaper Packs?
Amazon coins have been around a long time and are a very common way to purchase discounted packs. You can save up to 20% or more with this option to buy.
That means a $100 pack can be obtained for only $80!
The difficult part for some players is that it only works on Android phones. If you have IOS, you will need an emulator to utilize this option. In the video below, our amazing Chrishero100 gives an excellent explanation of the entire process.
To utilize Amazon Coins, begin by downloading AmazonApps to your phone. Games should be populated once you have the Amazon Apps on your phone. This is the location you will play the game from henceforth to be able to use the coins that you have purchased.
To purchase the coins that allow you to receive the discount, you can click on the coin option within the app. You can also purchase from the website or even a gift to friends. (Hey Mom, my Birthday is coming! Send me some Amazon Coins!)
Remember, the more coins you purchase at once, the greater the savings.

What’s Pack Loading?
Pack Loading is a term that refers to a player paying a third-party source for discounted packs without a direct contract with a game developer.
This is an issue for two main reasons, both resulting in the possible permanent loss of your account.
Against Terms of Service
MZ has ensured that third-party selling in this manner is not permitted by specifically adding clauses in their Terms of Service that allow them to revoke and terminate your account if violated. This is also performed at their discretion.
To play, you must agree to the terms of service.
No Transfer of Accounts or In-Game Items.
Your account is for your personal use only. You specifically agree not to: (6) create or permit to exist an interest or arrangement of any kind, which in substance secures the payment of money or performance of any obligation or gives a creditor priority over unsecured creditors, over any of your rights with respect to the Game, your Game account or In-Game Items.
Code of Conduct.
You agree to comply with the following requirements (our “Code of Conduct”) when you use the Game:
- You will comply with your obligations to third party mobile platform providers, such as Apple and Google, from whom you download the Game, including any terms regarding payment for In-App Purchases made through such platforms.
- You will not use the Game for any unauthorized commercial purpose, including but not limited to commercial advertisement or solicitation (such as chain letters, junk e-mail, “spam,” or other repetitive messages), or gathering or transferring In-Game Items for sale.
- You will only use the Game on your own behalf. You shall not use the Game or perform in-Game services for payment, such as leveling up or item collection services.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in the suspension of your account, or any portion of your account, and/or subject you to any of the penalties identified in Section 12.
Besides, although you may find a reputable pack loader, you are still taking a gamble. You must give up your account information for them to be purchased on your phone, unlike Amazon Coins where you retain all of your information.
This is the biggest risk you take. Many people have lost items, buildings, gear, and had their accounts stolen. You have no way of knowing when someone who is a trustworthy loader, will go bad.
You must ask yourself if saving a few dollars in this manner is worth possibly losing your entire account. The only way to properly ensure the safety of your account is to not give out your login information.
